Logility Named a Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Recipient for the Fourteenth Year

Award Recognizes Modell’s Sporting Goods’ Success with Logility Voyager Solutions to Improve In–Stock Performance and Accelerate Inventory Turns

ATLANTA — July 26, 2016 — Logility, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative supply chain optimization and advanced retail planning solutions, today announced the editors of Supply & Demand Chain Executive Magazine named Logility to its annual listing of the Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100. The award highlights the “100 Great Supply Chain Projects” of the past year and marks the 14th year Logility has been honored for enabling extraordinary supply chain initiatives.

Logility was recognized for supporting Modell’s Sporting Goods, a family–owned sporting retailer in the Northeast United States with more than 150 retail locations and 18,000 active SKUs, in their supply chain transformation. As the company increased its number of suppliers and vendors, introduced new products and opened new retail locations, Modell’s realized its previous processes would not scale nor allow the level of planning granularity required to drive significant improvements for the business. As a result, they turned to Logility to right–size their inventory through accurate demand, inventory and replenishment planning. With Logility, the planning team increased its efficiency, doubled its auto–replenishment to include more than 60 percent of merchandise, improved its in–stock availability to greater than 95 percent and reduced inventory 20 percent. This has led to a considerable drop in markdowns and transfers.

“We are honored to be recognized by the editors of Supply & Demand Chain Executive for the Supply & Demand Chain 100 Award and proud to be a partner in Modell’s Sporting Goods’ supply chain success,” said Allan Dow, president, Logility. “Modell’s success story showcases how implementing the right technology can transform a complex supply chain into an efficient customer–focused operation that drives business growth and profitability.”

Supply & Demand Chain Executive announced its first “100” list 14 years ago. The award is given to supply chain solution providers, consultants and other organizations that are helping to lead complex supply chain operations with innovative technology. Each project awarded has shown measurable increases in ROI which has been achieved through supply chain technologies and execution. The submissions were evaluated by the magazine’s editorial staff based on: ambitiousness/scope of the project (30 percent); creative application of technologies/solutions/services used (20 percent); extent of the business results/impact (40 percent); clarity of submission (10 percent).
