This year Modell’s Sporting Goods, Moen, Red Wing Shoe Company, Regal Beloit, and The Timken Company were recognized by Logility for driving supply chain excellence through the deployment of Logility Voyager Solutions™.

The Logility Leadership Award recognizes a select group of companies who significantly improved their business processes, deployed Logility Voyager Solutions to address supply chain challenges, or demonstrated an on–going commitment and leadership role in the expansion of supply chain improvements. Each of this year’s award recipients demonstrated success in building collaboration, efficiency and visibility across their supply chain networks. These efforts resulted in tangible business benefits including driving a robust sales and operations planning (S&OP) process, reducing inventory, increasing forecast accuracy, improving transportation operations, and attaining higher customer service levels through the innovative use of supply chain software from Logility.

Modell’s Sporting Goods
Modell’s Sporting Goods is America’s oldest, family–owned and operated retailer of sporting goods, athletic footwear, active apparel, and fan gear, with more than 150 locations as well as a direct to consumer channel. The sporting goods retailer turned to Logility to improve in–stock performance and accelerate inventory turns for its highly seasonal merchandise portfolio, and manage forecasts at the SKU/location level through the use of Voyager Solutions’ dynamic forecasting engine. Within just four months Modell’s Sporting Goods realized impressive results including an in–stock availability of 95 percent, a significant improvement in forecast accuracy to an average of 85 percent and reduced inventory investment by up to 20 percent.

Moen
Moen is North America’s #1 faucet brand, known for its thoughtful design of faucets and fixtures, as well as its outstanding commitment to customer service. To support strategic growth plans, optimize asset investments, and enable rapid growth, Moen deployed Voyager Inventory Optimization to provide a single, multi–echelon, global inventory system for all locations. Moen now has the capability to quickly model and analyze multiple scenarios to support their monthly sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP) process.

Red Wing Shoe Company
Red Wing Shoe Company is a leading purpose–built footwear company specializing in work and outdoor products sold in 110 countries. As the company continued to grow around the world, the supply chain organization set out to improve its systems and processes to help align inventory with customer demand, increase customer service and boost visibility across its global operations. The Timken Company

To support the company’s worldwide growth, the supply chain team deployed Logility Voyager Solutions to drive a single, global forecast to be utilized across multiple departments. With Logility, The Timken Company is now able to develop a statistical forecast for all of its products around the world. The company has also decreased forecast error 12 percent and is now able to cover operational, tactical and strategic planning horizons in a single plan with visibility extending over a 12 year horizon. “Companies around the world have turned to Logility to drive their supply chain excellence,” said Allan Dow, president, Logility. “The 2015 Leadership Award highlights a few of the impressive success stories across sales and operations planning, inventory optimization, retail optimization, demand planning, and transportation optimization.
