- Introduction to Quantitative Multi–Echelon Inventory Optimization: Math You Can Apply Today. Sean Willems, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Operations Management at Boston University’s School of Management and Chief Scientist, Logility will help ignite your inventory optimization initiative as he discusses the math behind multi–echelon inventory optimization (MEIO) and explores how you can drive benefits for your business every day. Dr. Willems will also discuss the secrets to managing successful postponement, SKU rationalization and service–level optimization. The session will be held on Monday, October 21 at 2:00 pm MDT in room #203.
- S&OP Drives Inventory Optimization and Rapid ROI at J.R. Simplot. Brian Van Ausdle, Director of Business Systems, at The J.R. Simplot Company will describe how they transformed their business by changing its culture, practices, and tools. In doing so he will expand on the key elements to a successful S&OP implementation and the tools required to drive results. Attendees will also learn about how J.R. Simplot plans to leverage inventory optimization to synchronize demand and supply planning and take its sales and operations planning (S&OP) process to the next level.
