Sean Willems, Ph.D

Logility Chief Scientist Dr. Willems pioneered the science of multi-echelon inventory optimization (MEIO) and is a highly regarded supply chain visionary. His work with companies including Hewlett Packard and Procter & Gamble led to prestigious finalist selections for the 2003 and 2010 Franz Edelman Award for Achievement in Operations Research and the Management Sciences. He’s a four-time finalist and the 2008 winner of the Daniel H. Wagner Prize for Excellence in Operations Research Practice. Dr. Willems serves as the Haslam Chair in Supply Chain Analytics and is a Professor of Business Analytics and Statistics at the University of Tennessee. He also holds editorial board responsibilities for the analytics journals, Interfaces and Production and Operations Management.
