ATLANTA (April 17, 2007) Logility, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGTY), a leading supplier of collaborative solutions to optimize the supply chain, today announced the 2007 “Logility Leadership Award” winners. The annual award program recognizes a select group of companies who have been the most innovative in their efforts to develop and implement collaborative supply chain processes that significantly improve operational performance through the deployment of Logility Voyager Solutions™. The 2007 Logility Leadership Award was presented to Associated Grocers of Florida, A. O. Smith Water Products Company, Brown Shoe Company and Cole-Parmer Instrument Company at Logility’s “Connections 2007: Supply Chain Power Plays” conference.
Examples of the winners’ improvements in operational performance include:
- Associated Grocers of Florida,a wholesale distributor of grocery goods, implemented Logility Voyager Solutions as part of a comprehensive system upgrade aimed at reducing inventory without lowering customer fill rates. Logility has enabled Associated Grocers to lower inventory levels by giving them the ability to accurately forecast demand and replenish warehouses while also providing a platform to implement several new programs to streamline their supply chain and reduce maverick purchases. Results of the Logility implementation have included increased customer service levels, a 47% decrease in obsolete inventory over the past six months, lower inventory carrying costs, reduction in overhead and the ability to maximize labor and physical resources.
- A. O. Smith Water Products Company, North America's leading manufacturer and marketer of residential and commercial water heaters and hydronic boilers, implemented Logility Voyager Solutions to improve their supply chain processes through better demand, inventory, supply and transportation planning. As a result, A. O. Smith has reduced inventory, gained a more proactive response to demand fluctuations, and improved customer service. Most recently, A. O. Smith has also improved carrier satisfaction, increased customer service levels and decreased freight costs through the implementation of Logility Voyager Transportation Planning and Management™.
It is very rewarding to recognize Logility customers each year for the supply chain success they have achieved through the use of Logility Voyager Solutions,” said Mike Edenfield, president and CEO of Logility. “We congratulate each leadership award recipient and celebrate their continued success. Logility will support them by continuing to offer innovative technology solutions that enable long-term supply chain improvements and success.”
